Understanding and Supporting Long-Arc Recovery

A little about me.

Bryan True

I have a background in diagnostic medical imaging and experience working in healthcare. I worked as a radiologic and MRI technologist observing anatomy, pathology, and the effects of illness and injury. This gave me a practical familiarity with anatomy and physiology beyond standard textbook knowledge, yet I still felt that this understanding was incomplete. I wondered how physiology might be understood and applied more intuitively and holistically, with greater attention to how the body functions as a whole rather than only to the treatment of specific diseases, or injuries. I continued studying physiology, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and other natural health frameworks independently, searching for a more foundational understanding that seemed to be missing from conventional care. However, this understanding did not fully take shape until I experienced multiple chronic conditions myself and had to find a path toward recovery.

I eventually had to confront chronic gastritis, IBS, FQAD, and several other persistent health problems. Conventional, alternative, traditional, and “natural” approaches did not provide lasting improvement and often left me feeling worse than I had been before trying them. Each failed intervention forced me to revisit the same lesson: treating isolated symptoms or individual parts of the body was not enough when regulation across the body had become poorly coordinated and less efficient. As I continued to react poorly to most interventions, and as the pain and discomfort persisted without any apparent end, this lesson became a lived reality for me.

Living through this for years gradually changed how I approached my health. I could no longer afford to be thrown off track by outside theories, protocols, and interpretations about health, so I began paying closer attention to how my body responded to different conditions and inputs over time. This required developing interoceptive awareness, the ability to notice subtle changes within the body more clearly. Developing this while dealing with chronic health issues was not easy, because every symptom could easily reinforce whatever explanation I already believed about what was wrong. My ability to recognize bodily patterns developed gradually through many years of intermittent pain, discomfort, experimentation, and observation. At some point, I simply had to accept the difficult reality my life had become and remain open to observing my body without immediately determining what every sensation meant.

Out of these experiences a different way of understanding the body emerged for me. I had to stop trying to reason my way toward every answer and become more receptive to what my body was already showing me. I had to trust that, somehow, the intelligence of the body and its relationship with the natural world could help lead me. The Bodily Truth Framework grew from learning to remain open and receptive to the body without constantly trying to direct or reinterpret it. It recognizes the body’s own intelligence and seeks to support the conditions that allow its regulatory capacity to function more effectively. Instead of focusing on isolated symptoms or short-term effects, it looks more closely at the underlying conditions that shape how the body adapts, regulates, and recovers over time. Applying this approach to my own health gradually led me to a state of stability and recovery that had not been possible through other methods.

This framework has been shaped through sincerity, careful observation, and a willingness to follow the body's lead. It brings together bodily observation, lifestyle support, and carefully selected supplemental or herbal support in response to the body's changing needs, with the goal of supporting regulation and becoming less reliant on external interventions. My approach in appointments is to help you recognize patterns in your health and daily life that may be interfering with long-term recovery. My focus is on helping you build a clearer, more honest relationship with your body so that you can navigate daily life with greater clarity and confidence and better support your own long-term recovery.

My Approach

I work with clients to help them understand how their body is functioning by identifying its constitutional baseline, recurring patterns, responses, and overall current state.

From this context, I recommend changes to routine and diet and may suggest supplements or herbal support aligned with their bodily needs.

Note: I am not qualified to prescribe medications, diagnose medical conditions, or provide guidance on starting, stopping, or adjusting any prescription or over-the-counter medications. My services are for educational purposes only and are not a substitute for medical advice or care.
